Learn to get paid for doing work that you love!

In this program, students will learn how to shoot and edit video to tell powerful stories. This program also teaches students how to monetize their work. The Film Academy at Mixxer is led by Tracy Misner, award winning educator and film maker with over 15 years of teaching experience. Many of his students are now working in film and broadcast industries, and many are now self-employed as successful film makers.

This program is held Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, June 17 to 21, 2024.

Students will learn:

● Establish a YouTube Channel (designed to host and share your productions)

● Video editing on Final Cut Pro

● Camera composition on professional film cameras ● Camera composition on iPhone

● How to transfer footage

● How to acquire professional sound

● How to do voice-overs

● How to/and understand Foley production

● How to conduct an interview

● How to use light

● How to use green screen

● How to tell a story

● How to use your skills in a social media setting

● How to monetize your production/skill set

● How to produce a sustainable business plan

● How to understand financial literacy (taught by Piedmont Federal Bank)

● How to plan your financial well-being even if your income is not steady
